Social Space: "Emotional Intelligence: what horses teach us about being human"

Mon, 14 Oct

Space 22 Louth

As prey animals, horses are the ultimate example of emotional intelligence in practice. They respond, in the moment, to the energy in the environment around them, moving away from anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, or unsafe and gravitating towards situations that make them feel safe.

"Emotional Intelligence:  what horses teach us about being human"

"As prey animals, horses are the ultimate example of emotional intelligence in practice.  They respond, in the moment, to the energy in the environment around them, moving away from anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, or unsafe and gravitating towards situations that make them feel safe and protected.

When we work with horses in a coaching, or therapeutic setting, they show us what energy and emotions we bring into their space – they let us know how we make them feel and how we’re showing up in the world.

This creates great opportunities for learning and development and for modifying our behaviours to get the outcomes we want in life and business"
